So Obon is over, and I’m starting to get back into the swing of things….except……I have so many exhibitions coming up…oh wow…its like BANG BANG BANG exhibition after exhibition!! I need to get my thinking cap on.
First off, I got accepted to the Gifu Flag Art competition that runs this October. My entry was chosen out of a few hundred, so I’m pretty happy just now. This was the sketch of the design I submitted. Pretty pleased with it.
I was also accepted to be a part of GEISAI 15 in Tokyo this October. I’ll be showing work on the 9th of October if anyone is interested in coming to see it. I’m really happy to be chosen to be a part of GEISAI as its run by one of my favourite artists, Takashi Murakami. :D I don’t know if he’ll be there, but I would love to meet him.
During the same time however I’ll be showing work at Gallery X in the Nagoya Art Gallery from 4th October to the 10th. I’m really looking forward to meeting many new artists in the area at this group exhibition.
Oh yeah, forgot about another event I’ll be in. September 25th is the Shinsakae Free Market, I’m hoping to get some work together to set up stall in the artists alley there too.
Then there is the Foreign Artists Exhibition in November…
Finally the JLPT Japanese test and possibly Creators Market in December..
Oh my… I think I’ll stop writing now and start doing some work. Its going to be a busy few months. :O
